What Is Little Type?
Little Type is a small mail order distributor. We sell DIY, punk, indy, etc. type music, books,
fanzines, shirts and what not. Our prices are cheap and our service is prompt, friendly and
responsive. We currently take orders online with Visa and MasterCard.
Checks sent via postal
mail are encouraged as well.
Our catalog is not as expansive as we'd like, but we're working on getting
more good things.
In addition to the online catalog, we plan to mail out a print catalog. If
you are interested in receiving a catalog, it's free and you can sign up
for it

In terms of personnel, Little Type is Erika and myself (Patrick). The name was
inspired from the band The Little Types. They were a band Erika formed with her
neighbors when she was 9 years old. They never really made it out
of the garage, but they had some hell of catchy song titles.
Little Type, the mail order, is our little project. I have been doing
web design and e-commerce related programming for the last six years
and Erika has been doing mail order fulfillment for about as long.
I've got the brains, she's got the looks...
Our main inspiration is the mail order experience. We were thinking back to
the late 80's and early 90's when just about all the good music music was only
available by mail order. And, when you ordered, your package would arrive with
drawings, notes or some other cool shit in it. We're trying to recreate a
lil' bit of that here in our corner of the web.
Credit Card Processing
Our credit card gateway is Authorize.net. The charge will appear on your statement as

Order by Check or Money Order
Fill up your cart with the items you want and follow all checkout instructions.
When prompted for payment option, choose Pay by mail with check or money order.
Follow all further instructions given.

Shipping & Handling Rates
We generally ship orders the day after we receive them with weekends being the exception.
So if you order on Friday, we'll ship it on Monday. Otherwise, we'll ship it the next day.
For orders shipped within the US, we can send them First-Class if they are under
one pound and Priority Mail if over. You should receive your order in 2-5 business days
from the time you order it.
If there is only media (music, books, video),
we can send it Media Mail which takes a bit longer, but depending where you are
can be a lot less expensive. Media Mail orders will take 6-14 business days to arrive.
For orders shipped outside the US, we will ship Airmail Letter Post. Delivery time
will depend on where in the world you are located.
The amount we charge you for shipping is based on the estimated weight of your
package, the method of shipping, and the package's destination.
Return/Exchange Policy
You may return or exchange any item up to 90 days after
purchase if it is unopened (still in plastic wrap) or if
it's a shirt, not worn or laundered. A refund will not
include the cost of shipping or tax. If you want to exchange
an item for something else,
email us
and we'll instruct you how to proceed.
If you received the wrong or damaged item from us, please return
it to us with a note of explanation (we will reimburse you for
the cost of postage) and we will replace it with the correct/undamaged
item.
It is Little Type's goal to ship the correct item to you in appropriate
packaging so orders arrive in good, undamaged condition.
Security/Privacy Policy
We, here at LittleType.com, respect your privacy. We will not collect
personally identifiable information unless it is voluntarily given to us. Obviously,
if you want to place an order with us, you'll need to provide us with a billing and
shipping address as well as a phone number. But, other than that, we won't make you
submit any such information.
Credit Card Information:
All credit card transactions are conducted
securely (with SSL encryption) through our payment processor,
Authorize.Net. They handle everything
related to your credit card. This includes the collection
of your number and expiration date as well as making the actual
charge to your account. We never have access to any specific
information related to your card. Authorize.Net is committed to
privacy and security, so you can be assured that your information
will be safe with them.

Your Personal Information:
We will not share any personal information you submit
to our site with any third party (with the exception of
our payment processor
Authorize.Net if you place a credit card order).
We will not send you unsolicited correspondence, nor will we
attempt to contact you unless you've initiated contact with us.
In short, we'll keep your information private and try not to bug
you.
If you create an account here at LittleType.com, we will store
some information about you on our server. It is your option, though, how
much or how little you want us to have.
We've taken reasonable precautions so that your information
on our server remains inaccessible to anyone but you and us.
